This weekend Nick took a day away from mixing Billy Davis’ new album produced by Jeff Nystrom to record a great new R&B band called STICKY ROBERTS BAND at Porcelain Records in lower Hamilton. Nick is widely respected for his expertise in recording Live-Off-The-Floor with minimal sonic bleed and the Sticky Roberts Band was no exception.

Without a click-track these cats created a funky groove and a great track called “Hold On” which they then brought to Psychotropic Studios for vocal and guitar overdubs, mix and master. The whole process took eight hours from drum set-up at Porcelain Records to CDs in-hand at Psychotropic Studios and what a fun time was had by all! Sounds like More, right?
